Clinical Supervision Consultation Session | Nov 5 - Ethics - LIVE WEBINAR

5 Nov 2025

This event is for individuals pursuing their supervision license or those already licensed as a supervisor with the Nevada State Board of Examiners for Alcohol, Drug, and Gambling Counselors.

Description

CASAT has received funding to implement the Accelerate Career Pathways for Substance Use, and Problem Gambling Treatment, to increase the number of trained supervisors in Nevada. As a result, this course is now a part of the 2025 Clinical Supervision Coaching Academy.

The Clinical Supervision Coaching Academy is being offered at no cost to qualified applicants that are interested in becoming an approved supervisor by the Nevada State Board of Examiners for Alcohol, Drug and Gambling Counselors.

These Virtual communities of practice will offer a platform for participants to come together after the initial training to further practice supervision skills and review real life case examples that they may be facing in their own practice. Communities of practice led by an experienced supervisor will further strengthen skills learned during the initial virtual training series to enhance the quality of supervision being provided to incoming interns through continuous collaborative learning.

Session Topic: This session will include information and discussion on professional ethics between the intern and client, as well as in the supervisory relationship. This discussion will delve into some of the “slippery slope” areas of counselor ethics. In addition, the conversation will go beyond the obvious ethical topics that are often discussed and take a deep dive into areas that are less often considered. Participants are urged to bring examples and situations they’d like to discuss.
