Clinical Supervision Refresher 2026: SELF-PACED ONLINE

1 Jan 2026 - 31 Jan 2029

Description

Whether you've been supervising for years or are relatively new to the role, this 6-hour refresher course is designed to deepen your knowledge, refine your skills, and strengthen your confidence as you guide the next generation of mental health and substance use professionals.

Clinical supervision is one of the most important and complex roles we take on in our field. As supervisors, we wear many hats: educator, mentor, evaluator, gatekeeper, and advocate. We help supervisees develop their clinical skills while protecting client welfare and maintaining ethical standards. It's challenging work that requires ongoing learning and intentional practice.

This course is structured to support your growth through five comprehensive modules:

Module 1: Role and Foundations of Clinical Supervision – Clarifying what supervision is (and isn't) and understanding your core responsibilities

Module 2: Supervision Theories and Models – Exploring frameworks that can guide your supervision approach

Module 3: Multicultural Supervision and Diversity Considerations – Integrating cultural competence and addressing power dynamics

Module 4: Ethics and Professional Identity Development – Navigating ethical complexities and fostering professional growth

Module 5: Evaluation, Assessment, and Professional Advocacy – Providing effective feedback and advocating for supervisees and clients

Each module combines recorded lectures, interactive activities, and knowledge checks to help you engage with the material. You'll move through the course at your own pace, with the flexibility to revisit content as needed.

Learning Objectives
